To configure assets and other aspects of the user experience, open the User Experience page via the gear icon in the upper-right-hand corner of Program Studio. Then select User Experience.
Members will see the Program Name throughout the employee experience and in email campaigns.
The app name introduces your users to the app while the program name helps anchor the user in a specific program. If your organization only has one program, using the app name as the program name will reinforce the branding. However, if you have multiple programs within your organization then you should choose program names that distinguish the different programs clearly for users.
Choose the program name as carefully as the app name. Editing the program name can require a lot of changes (including to the URL of your program), so you should choose a name that will not need to be updated.
Program URL slug
The program URL slug appears at the end of your program’s URL. We recommend you make the program URL slug the same as the program name (without spaces or capital letters). The URL for your program will look like this: advocate.socialchorus.com/<orgslug>/<programslug>.
Note, the organization slug is configured when your program is first launched and applies to all programs within the organization.
Changes to the URL slugs can compromise SSO configurations, links, bookmarks, and RSS Feeds that draw from the program. Therefore, these values can only be updated by SocialChorus employees. To update the URL slugs please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tracking hashtags enable SocialChorus to track mobile app shares and original posts to social networks (if the users have connected their social accounts). You can track multiple hashtags by including a space between tags. To have a tracking hashtag automatically included in some shares, see the note on appended hashtag below.
The appended hashtag is added to most posts shared from your program. Facebook requires the employee to add the hashtag manually due to platform policy. The appended hashtag helps program users identify themselves as employees of your company. The appended hashtag can help SocialChorus track the shares if the appended hashtag is also a tracking hashtag.
Each program can have only one appended hashtag at a time.
Changes to the tracking or appended hashtag you may require communicating to your members to assure that they continue using the correct hashtags.
GDPR Compliance Contacts
Program Studio users with the Program Manager and Administrator roles can add one or more email addresses to be contacted for GDPR requests. This email address will be contacted when users request to export or erase their personal data.
If adding multiple email addresses, you must add commas between the addresses.
If this field is left blank, GDPR request emails will be sent directly to SocialChorus Support (email@example.com). The GDPR request emails will then be routed to customer contacts according to our records.
If you do not see this option on your Basics page in Program Studio, it means that GDPR features (Export Data and Erase Me) have not been enabled for your program. Please reach out to your Engagement Manager to enable them.
Note: This change affects all users who submit GDPR requests from the web experience, and will be live for users once they upgrade to 3.6.3+ version of the mobile app.
Upload the images by clicking the Upload Image button next to the corresponding section. Change images by using Remove to clear the current asset and then use Upload Image to upload the new asset.
Program Studio Assets
The visual assets that can be updated on the User Experience page are outlined in the Program Studio Assets article:
Use the welcome video to communicate a vision for the program, share compliance information, and highlight any details about how you would like users to use this program. The welcome video appears at the top of My Feed after onboarding questions (such as code access) but before all other questions, including both dropdown and free-form text. The welcome video persists at the top of the user's feed until it is acknowledged.
Add a welcome video by copying and pasting a publicly available link to your video. While the video must be publicly accessible, it can be an unlisted video on Vimeo or YouTube. After pasting the link you can click Preview to watch the video in Program Studio.
If you are not able to host the video publicly, consider creating a video post with a Require campaign instead. Publish the video post to My Feed (along with little to no other content) so that new users see it right away. The disadvantage of this option is that newer content in My Feed or content in channels that the user follows can push the video post down My Feed and out of visibility.
- Link - Paste in the URL if your terms or policy are accessible via the web.
- Text Box - Type or paste the text directly into the text box editor. The text inside the text box can be formatted, but with limited options. Please make sure that any hyperlinks or images are hosted at a location that your users can access.
