When you download the iOS app and register for the first time, you will be prompted to allow push notifications. Push notifications include important announcements, new content, events, and breaking news. We encourage users to allow push notifications, but if you do disallow push notifications then featured content can still be found under Highlights.
For Android app users, push notifications are already enabled.
After the initial prompt is gone, iOS and Android users both manage the push notification configuration through the phone's settings. For example, on an iPhone, open Settings (gear icon), tap into the Notifications section, and choose [App Name]. Depending on the Android device, open Settings (gear icon), tap on Apps, choose [App Name], and tap on the Notifications section.
iOS users can review (but not change) the current push notification configuration in the SocialChorus app under Settings, as shown in the following screenshot:
