Drive adoption by inviting users to complete registration for the employee experience and pull new studio users into Program Studio with studio invitations.
By using the Campaigns feature of Program Studio, you can leverage your program's custom sender addresses and program branding for a cohesive onboarding experience. The invitation template can be customized if necessary and you can reference past campaigns and view metrics.
Note: Test emails of the invitation campaigns will have an inactive "Get Started" or "Join Now" button. This is to prevent invitation metrics from being impacted by tests.

Invite Uploaded Users via Uploads in Progress
After adding users via a bulk upload, you can invite users via the Uploads in Progress dialogue.
- Follow the steps in Add Multiple New Users to upload a file.
- Back on the Users page, click on the Uploads in Progress button.
- Click on the file information to review the upload in detail.
- If any new users were successfully imported, you will have the option to invite the users.
- Studio invites cannot be unchecked - you must invite Studio users
- Experience invites will go to both Studio users and Members (studio users will receive both studio and experience invites if you check both options)
- Choose a custom sender address, edit the subject line, adjust the delivery schedule.
- You can save as a Draft and send later, or Send immediately. The Invitation Campaign can be accessed like other Campaigns via the Campaigns page.
Studio users must be invited when you send invitations (cannot uncheck invite studio user to studio). You can choose to invite only the studio users for now and follow-up with inviting to experience later, or invite to both Program Studio and the experience at the same time.
Invite Users from Users Page
You can invite users directly from the Users page at any time. You can only invite users to the Employee Experience if they have an Experience Status of Created, Invited, or Registering. You can invite studio users to Program Studio regardless of the Experience Status.
- Navigate to the Manage > Users page for your program.
- Filter or sort the users so that you can see the users that you want to invite.
- Click the checkbox next to the users name.
- Select Invite (#) to open the Invite Users dialogue.
- Review the information to confirm the number of users, and choose to send studio and/or experience invitations.
- If you accidentally selected Registered or Blocked users, the invitation tool will simply ignore the Registered/Blocked users. You do not need to return to the Users page to uncheck the Registered or Blocked users.
Note: Manual invites from the Users page in Program Studio will send an invitation directly using the current invitation template and the default Sender address in Connect. Once sent, the invitation campaign will also be listed under the Sent tab on the Campaigns page in Program Studio.
In order to leverage an editable version of the Campaign (where you can change the sender address, edit the subject line, etc.), please refer to Invite Uploaded Users via Uploads in Progress.
Note: 'Smart Invitation Multi-Step Campaign' is another name for 'Invitation Drip'. The following applies to your program if the Invitation Drip is running under Connect > Campaigns > Active. If the Invitation Drip campaign is not running, check under Paused or Draft where you can activate the campaign. If you still cannot find the campaign, please reach out to SocialChorus Support (firstname.lastname@example.org).
When you invite a user to the employee experience the user's status changes from Created to Invited. The Invitation Drip is triggered by the user status changing from Created to Invited.
You can invite a user via Uploads in Progress, by selecting users on the Users page, Add Program User, or using the User Invitation email template in Campaigns. All of these options will send an email to the user (invitation 1).
After invitation 1, if no action is taken by the Invited user, the Invitation Drip will automatically follow-up by targeting the Invited users with 4 additional invitations over a 24 day period (invitations 2, 3, 4, and 5).
Once a user clicks on the invitation link to begin registration (and thereby becomes Registering or Registered), the Invitation Drip will stop sending invitations to the user. If after 4 attempts the user is still not Registering or Registered, the invitation campaign will end and the user will remain in Invited status.
The Invitation Drip will automatically be sent from your program's default sender address. If you do not want the Invitation Drip to automatically reach out to your users, you can pause the campaign from the Campaigns page.
What Is Different About the User Registration Experience?
The user's registration experience via invitation is very similar to normal registration.
For users that sign in via SSO, there is no change - they just get an invite that links them to the program, where they create their account as usual.
For users that sign in via Email Registration, normally during registration the user receives an email with a confirmation link after entering username and password. They would then need to complete user verification, onboarding questions, or go straight to the feed - depending on how the program is configured.
With an invitation link, the email confirmation and user verification are both skipped. The user just enters their password and is signed in. The user still needs to complete any onboarding questions that the program has configured.
Note, skipping email confirmation and user verification requires that the user's email in the user data file uploaded via SFTP matches the email that is invited to the program.
What Happens if The User Skips The Invite?
Created and Invited users must follow an invitation link in order to complete registration. If they skip the invitation and attempt to sign in, their email and password will not be recognized. If they attempt to join now, they will trigger a new invitation email.
Once the Created or Invited user follows an invitation link, that confirms their email and identity. So, they skip domain whitelisting, email confirmation, and user verification.
Any user that has already created a password (they would show as Registering or Registered) should sign in (not join now) to access the program.
Studio users can skip the studio invitation link. If they already have a password with a SocialChorus program the new studio user can simply sign into Program Studio. If they have no password with SocialChorus, they can use Program Studio's "Forgot Password" to trigger a password reset email and use that password reset to get signed into Program Studio.
What Happens If the User is Invited to Both Studio and Experience?
The invitations are designed to handle the possibility of a user receiving both an Employee Experience invitation and Program Studio invitation.
Email registration programs use the same password for both Studio and the Employee Experience, so if the user follows one invitation to create a password the second invitation link will now take them to the program instead of creating a password again.
