Web Publishing Updates
These updates allow users to post content directly from the web, consistent with the mobile experience. Members can now:
- Control if users can comment on a post.
- Control if a post can be translated.
- Archive posts.
- Save posts as a draft (not available to Channel Contributors or Members).
- All users can create album posts with multiple images.
There are also significant updates to the look and feel of publishing via the web experience.
The same icon for posting content appears in the web experience, but with an updated feel and publishing flow.
Users can add a description and an image to their Link post.
Users can now select up to 10 images for an Image post, reorder images via drag and drop, and add a caption for the post.
Once a video is uploaded, a user can select a cover image for the Video post.
Users will continue to be able to create a Note and choose a background color for the post.
Users are able to add a title, description, body, and image for their article post.
Note: The image in the article preview is scaled to fill the space and then cropped.
All Your Posts
Selecting All Your Posts will navigate users to their Profile. Users can see all their posts and have the option to edit any post. They can also choose to archive posts.
All users can select the following options:
- Allow or don't allow comments on a post.
- Make the post translatable.
The controls can also be changed if the post is published to a channel that requires review by a Studio user.
Administrators, Program Managers, and Publishers can select:
Save as a Draft
Administrators, Program Managers and Publishers can all save any unfinished post. Drafts will appear in Studio on the planner page.
Archive and Update
All users can now archive their posts. Users can also make edits to their posts and click Update, which will resubmit the post in the publishing workflow, either reposting or sending for review.
New Share Link Icon
Users can click on Share and will have an additional choice to share a bit.ly link by clicking Copy. This allows users to share the content anywhere.
Translation Icon in Web Expanded View
Users now have the option to click the translate icon after opening a content card. For Images, Video, and Link posts, the translate icon will translate all words in the post. For Articles, the translate icon on the content card in the feed will translate the title only, whereas the translate icon that appears after opening the article to read it will translate the article content.
