Customer Issue
When a Smart Campaign with an Acknowledgement goal is added to a video post that was created using a link (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Kaltura), the Acknowledge button is disabled in the web experience.
Environment
- Smart Campaigns - Acknowledgement goal
- Employee Experience - Web
Issue Details
Acknowledgement campaigns are only supported for video posts with videos hosted on the Firstup platform (i.e., uploaded to a video post vs using an external link). Videos linked from sites such as YouTube or Vimeo may not work as expected with Acknowledgement goal Smart Campaigns.
It should not be possible to create an Acknowledgement campaign for such a video post.
Resolution
This is considered a feature request and not an issue, and so has been moved to the Completed Issues Tracker issue ID EE-14667.
Support of Acknowledgement campaigns for all video posts has now been submitted as a suggestion for our Product team for consideration in future development. Please feel free to email your Customer Success Manager at any time, quoting FR-1430 to request an update on the status of this submission.
Videos from a Youtube, Vimeo, or Kaltura link should be embedded in an article post in order to function correctly with Acknowledgement goal Smart Campaigns:
- In Studio, create a new article.
- Click the Quick Add button and select Video.
- Paste the video link and click Okay.
- Promote this post with an Acknowledgement goal Smart Campaign and publish the article.
